I have always had a creative flare; I would use my artistic skills to draw and paint. I started my career as a sign-writer painting signage for businesses. Then digital signage came into play and sign-writers were no longer needed, this is when I utilised my skills in painting and decorating.
Increasingly I carried out my own projects on the side, which included converting furniture to re-purpose and refresh its look. Thus began my new enterprise.

THE SPRAYDEX
MISSION
The Spraydex approach to work is selecting an item of furniture for a specific property. With the idea in mind ‘you can’t buy age’ wood is selected for its antique properties and the ‘used’ appearance. Each item can tell a story; where it’s been, what it was used for, what was used with it. All vintage furniture has its own story. Using Michael’s creative flare, the furniture that is reclaimed will retain an element that depicts its story. The appearance is tidied up and modernised with a splash of colour or an unusual effect to make it mid-century modern.
